ARMOR-GUARD: 100% Borate Powder Wood Preservative

Armor-Guard is concentrated borate powder that is dissolved in water and then applied by brush or spray to bare wood. When other factors prevent the use of Shell-Guard or Shell-Guard RTU, Armor-Guard is the next best preservative to use.

BACKER ROD: Extruded Closed-Cell Polyethylene Rod

An inexpensive, yet effective “backing”, commonly referred to as Backer Rod. Backer Rod is an extruded, chemically inert, closed cell polyethylene “rope” designed to effectively fill in the gaps between logs prior to the application of Perma-Chink or Energy Seal.

GRIP STRIP: Extruded Closed-Cell Polyethylene

Grip Strip is a closed-cell product. Under normal use, it will not cause outgassing. It’s unique design provides an excellent fit and surface within the chink joint. This results in a savings in material used.

CHECK MATE 2: Check Filler/Sealer

Check Mate 2 is an outstanding water resistant sealant that prevents water and air infiltration through pronounced cracks (called checks) in logs, timbers and wood siding. Caulking is an obvious solution to this problem, but caulking does not work because of limits in adhesion and weatherability.
